Acts like a local Proxy Plugin for your Minecraft Home Server:
- optimizes Bandwidth usage on your server (and your ISP) but sending much less tcp packets (like a compression), saving many TCP packet header bytes;
- point above increases a bit the latency on fast connections (~1ms) but helps reducing for slower connection users, keeping them more stable;
- gives some protection against external unwanted connections;
- blocks spam connections;
- provides connection auditing;
- TCPShield complient, but if you have that you don't need this plugin.
To setup simply configure:
- Change Minecraft server Listen port (usually from 25565 to something different not exposed to internet)
- Set ListenPort: the port visible on your internet (default 25565)
- Set MinecraftListen: your internal minecraft port (port set at point 1)
- Set ProtectListen: true to make connection verification (spam, some malformed messages,...). Default true
Compatibility:
- All known Hardware and OS.
- All Minecraft Versions from 1.20+, but recommended 1.21.1+
- Bukkit, Spigot and Paper based servers
