Just like a lightning rod, lightning is more likely to strike entities wearing copper armor than the surrounding blocks and entities. The items that increase likelihood of being struck are defined by the #wich:lightning_rod_armor tag [default values: copper helmet, copper chestplate, copper leggings, copper boots, and lightning rods]. Also like a lightning rod, entities with an increased chance of being struck will occassionally sparkle with particles during a thunder storm.
