Better End Generation!

Phantasm now revamps the end's worldgen. This is fully configurable and compatible with other end generation mods/datapacks

New biomes can be added to the End in a simple, compatible way using datapacks

  • Can be controlled both by generation weight or noise points
  • Surface rules can be defined in the same place

The biomes' surface rules are now datadriven

And new features and fixes:

  • Added Raw Purpur Coal Ore
  • Overhauled the way Cirite generates
  • Fixed Oblivines generating through terrain
  • Fixed Crystal Spikes and Oblivines not generating with some datapacks

No longer using aggressive mixins into worldgen, meaning compatibility with all kinds of datapacks and other end mods is way better

  • Phantasm now automatically adapts other mods using Fabric's end biomes api to use its system
  • All runtime performance impacts from the biomes have been removed

Added ruins to the Acidburnt Abysses, with some loot and occasionally a challenge

New mobs!

Added Polyppies, a new friendly mob found in the Choral Riff

  • Must be collected with a pickaxe, and put next to a working jukebox to wake it up
  • Can be given a music disc to play it on loop
  • Nearby Polyppies tower together to form a Band, acting as a playlist
    • Only one of them will play at a time
  • Can be right clicked with coral blocks to change its color
    • These skins are fully datadriven
    • Built in support for Upgrade Aquatic's corals

Can be carried on your back for music on the go!

  • Shift + Right Click with an empty hand to equip it
  • Disc and play controls can be accessed from the inventory
    • Each disc can have custom visuals through a resourcepack
    • Has Inventory Profiles Next compat

Added Sour Sludges

  • Spawn in the Acidburnt Abysses
  • Behave similarly to Slimes
  • Apply Corrosion on hit, and make it more potent the more they hit you
  • Dissolve in water, taking rapid damage but releasing clouds of Corrosion

Challenges!

Added Challenge Runes

  • Generate in some structures
  • Must be activated by using an End Crystal on them, with an xp cost and the requirement to have killed the dragon for some
  • Spawns waves of monsters and rewards players who manage to kill them while staying in the arena
  • The challenge fails if all players leave or are defeated

Current challenges are on top of Shattered Towers, in End Cities ships and in Acidburnt Ruins

  • Elytras are now challenge locked by default

Everything about challenges is datadriven, including the monsters spawned, their attributes, the xp cost and dragon fight requirement, loot table, and creating new ones

Beginning Credits!

Going to the End for the first time now displays a short credits like cutscene, giving hints and explanations about the tweaked progression

  • Text and background image fully configurable for modpack makers
  • Can be disabled in configs

Subwoofers

  • New redstone block, creates a sound wave that pushes entities

  • When shot from a bow or dispenser: lower damage, velocity and accuracy, but applies Charm
  • When shot from a crossbow: Has an effect similar to subwoofers, but also deals damage and pushes you backwards (unless shifting) Abruption music disc, by Dylanvhs

Corrosion

  • Can be brewed from Pome slices
  • Increases damage taken (opposite of Resistance) Charm
  • Stuns affected entities

Added automatic datapack compatibility

Any datapack affecting the end generation, such as Nullscape, is now automatically compatible without any changes needed

  • Mod versions are fully automatic
  • Datapack versions require a config option to be set in phantasm.json to guarantee best configuration So far Nullscape and Endercon have fine tuned compatibility modes, Stellarity has been tested and works perfectly without any fine tuning needed

General

  • Fireworks now display the needed advancement when clicked

  • Dragon's fireballs can be configured to explode on landing

  • Added a config so that Endermen never get angry by being looked at during the dragon fight (off by default)
