Created for the Magic Market Jam

Rage, rage against the dying of the light...

Impact: 2

Soul Shepherd:

  • When non-undead creatures that you haven't harmed die near you, they leave behind Echoes of themselves.
  • Echoes are immune to most damage and vanish after 30 seconds without intervention.
  • Right-clicking an Echo with an empty hand will cause it to vanish and grant a Soul Shard.
  • You can consume Soul Shards by right-clicking with one in hand.

Spirit Essence: Using a Soul Shard on an Echo will extend its remaining life.

Fury of The Damned:

  • After consuming a Soul Shard, your next few attacks deal additional Magic damage.
  • This damage is increased against Undead enemies.

Mercy in Death: Killing a creature with a deadly status effect will grant a Soul Shard

Delay the Inevitable:

  • Consuming a Soul Shard will grant temporary health and briefly protect you from lethal damage.
  • You can share Soul Shards with others by sneaking before using them.

Life Transference: Sneaking while using a shard of Prismarine, Quartz, or Glass (any vanilla pane) allows you to sacrifice a quarter of your health to create a Soul Shard.

Hollow Resonance:

  • Whenever an Echo vanishes near you, you gain Grief. While grieving, you experience 15% fatigue.
  • Fatigue reduces movement speed, break speed, and attack speed.
  • If the vanished Echo is one of your tamed creatures, you gain additional effects based on how it vanished.
  • Effects are listed in the Origin menu as tooltips.

Overwhelmed: Filling your Grief meter causes you to take damage.

Soulnumbed:

  • You gain 15% passive damage resistance.
  • You receive 30% less healing.
  • You regenerate significantly slower but no longer need full hunger to regenerate.
