HyperGrave is a very customizable and sophisticated data pack (probably the best one out there)! It is the successor to SGrave, another grave data pack that is also customizable and sophisticated, but not as much as HyperGrave is.

NOTE: HyperGrave is still in development and not production-ready. Expect bugs (and even data loss)!

Features

Simple to use!

HyperGrave is simple to use:

  • A grave generates almost every time you die. Your items and XP will be stored in the grave. Graves are invulnerable and do not have any hitbox.

    • Note the word "almost". A grave might refuse to generate in some scenarios. By default, A grave will not generate if the player is in Creative Mode or if the player's inventoy is empty and has less than 3 levels of XP.
  • Each grave gets assigned a unique integer called GID (Grave ID). The first grave has a GID of 1001, then 1002, 1003, and so on. Knowing the GID of a grave can be useful for remote interaction with the grave (like viewing its information).

  • Right-click to loot the grave and retrieve its contents. All items will be placed in the appropriate slot and the XP will be directly given to you.

  • Left-click to loot the grave and drop its contents. All items will be dropped and XP will also be dropped in form of orbs.

By default, graves despawn in 90 minutes.

ICD!

When a player sneaks near the grave, the player head model will change to display the items in it one by one, and it cycles through them every second, just like how items are shown in a vault in trial chambers. This allows you to take a quick peek at what's inside of a grave.

You can even pick up the item that is being displayed!

In HyperGrave, this feature is called ICD.

Grave Info Display!

By default, anyone can view all information about any grave by running /trigger hygrave.show_grave_info set *gid* (Replace *gid* with the GID of the grave) or /trigger hygrave.show_grave_info (Shows info about the latest grave).

And by "any grave" I really mean "any grave", even those that have already been broken.

The admin can customize what information about what grave will be shown.

Remotely Looting A Grave!

NOTE: This feature is disabled by default.

Players can also loot their graves from anywhere using buttons from the grave info UI (preferred way) or using commands. No need to walk all the way! The requirements for remotely looting a grave is up to the admin, but by default it is impossible, because it's a little too overpowered.

Item Backups!

Scared of losing your items? Don't worry, HyperGrave has an additional layer of protection with item backups!

An item backup (simply called backup in-game) will only not generate if and only if the player's inventory is empty. Otherwise, it will always generate.

Each item backup gets assigned a unique integer called BID (Backup ID). The first item backup has a BID of 2001, then 2002, 2003, and so on.

NOTE: With item backups, the chance of losing your items because of a bug is really low, but not 0. You should still be careful and know that the developer(s) at HyperGrave will NOT be responsible for any data loss that HyperGrave causes. HyperGrave comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY.

Super Customizable!

In HyperGrave, you can customize almost anything, from the despawn time of graves to what right-clicking or left-clicking on a grave does to the items required to generate or loot a grave to even changing the text of the text display of the grave.

FUN FACT: It took way longer to develop the configs than HyperGrave itself!

Commands

You can use HyperGrave commands to do actions anywhere.

  • Commands starting with /trigger hygrave. are runnable by all players with any permission level.

  • Commands starting with /function hygrave:run/ are only runnable by admins with a permission level of 2 or higher.

  • Commands starting with /function hygrave:run/grave/admin/ bypass all requirements defined in the config.

  • Commands starting with /function hygrave:internal/ should NOT be run by any player (except when told otherwise by HyperGrave)

Useful ones

/trigger hygrave.info or /function hygrave:run/info

Shows the info menu of HyperGrave. It also has links to useful websites or commands.

/trigger hygrave.help or /function hygrave:run/info

Shows the help menu of HyperGrave. Use this if you have any questions related to HyperGrave.

/trigger hygrave.show_grave_info set *gid*

(Replace *gid* with the GID of the grave) Shows information about the grave with the specified GID.

/trigger hygrave.show_grave_info

Shows information about the newest grave.

/function hygrave:run/config

Shows the config menu.

Other ones

/function hygrave:run/grave/admin/show_grave_info {gid: *gid*}

(Replace *gid* with the GID of the grave) Shows all information about the grave with the specified GID, regardless of what is set in the Show Grave Info config.

/function hygrave:run/grave/generate

Use this to generate a grave, the same way you would've generated a grave if you had died instead.

/function hygrave:run/grave/admin/generate

Use this to generate a grave, the same way you would've generated a grave if you had died instead. Bypasses all requirements for generating a grave defined in the configs.

/function hygrave:run/backup/show_backup_info {bid: *bid*}

Show information about the backup with the specified BID.

/function hygrave:run/backup/show_last_backup_info

Show information about the newest backup.

Useless ones

The other commands you see in the suggestions when entering /function are either useless or too hard to understand, and you don't need to understand them, because there are simpler ways to do what the command does (e.g. using the buttons in the grave info UI).
