Changed Mastery is a datapack that overhauls most of Minecraft's recipes, giving a new experience.
Changes
You progress throughout the game slower as recipes changed the required items you needed to obtain. This gives players more an exciting slower gameplay as things are more grindy. Recipes relating to using the furnace, blast furnace, smoker, and campfire has been altered with different cook times, meaning some take longer to complete than others. There are some recipes that has been changed to allow more usage such as the rail recipe giving a full stack.
Progression Stages
Start Stage (Wood/Stone)
Crafting with wood is dramatically changed with less planks to work with. Stone tools now require stone related items to be crafted. Campfire has also gotten more uses, being a better option in this stage.
Metal Stage (Iron/Gold/Diamond)
This stage will take some time. Any iron/gold/diamond gear will require other materials to consistently maintain usage. The only bottlenecks you will be facing during this stage is the furnace speed and resources available.
Late Stage (Netherite/Elytra)
There are two sets of items you can use to upgrade to netherite but it will be no quick task. Getting to the End dimension is another challenge as you also require visiting an ancient city to be able to craft eyes of ender. However the elytra is now craftable too!
